It is 5:40 am (Singapore time) which makes it 2:40 pm CA time. Emma just commented that all her friends are just getting out of school. We are slowly adjusting to our new time zone, but as you can tell, we are still up very early! Yesterday was a busy day filled with lots of first time adventures. Our first mission of the day was to get groceries and this required us to take our first ride on the MRT (subway). The MRT was extremely clean and efficient and it was so easy to ride. I can see that the only problem will be how crowded it gets during rush hour. The MRT going in the opposite direction of us was filled wall-to-wall with passengers! We made it to the grocery store without a hitch, however when we got there it took us a lot of time to find the items we needed and figure out their prices. Things here are pretty expensive! The fun part was carrying our 9 bags of groceries home via the MRT. Luckily, our apartment is less than a 5 minute walk to the MRT. Our grocery trip probably took us close to 2 hours. Not bad for our first time!
