Sentosa Island

The whole family ventured to Sentosa Island today; which was just a 20 minute taxi ride from the city.  Sentosa Island is where locals and tourists go if they want to go to the beach or seek an adventure park experience.  They refer to Sentosa as "Asia's favorite playground," and it has everything from beaches and restaurants, to Universal Studios, Underwater World (similar to an aquarium), fancy resorts to stay at, a MegaZip line, and much much more.  We were not interested in the theme-park-like attractions and opted to get a feel for the beaches and the views on the island.  We thought the beaches were pretty nice and again were surprised to see the number of freighters just off the shoreline.  We preferred Palawan beach to Siloso, as it was less crowded.

We crossed a footbridge from Palawan beach and reached the Southern most point of Continental Asia.  If you were wondering, the kids ARE drinking slurpees from 7-eleven!

There were amazing views from the top of these lookout towers.

Jeff and Jake could have watched the freighters for hours.
We ended our day at this beachfront restaurant.  The kids loved playing in the water and sand while we relaxed in these great lounge chairs!

This was Jake waiting at the taxi queue.  I am not kidding!
