Routine

We had our second day of home school today and were done by 11am.  Emma was excited to Skype with her friend for the first time today and it worked perfectly.  It is amazing how the distance between two friends shrinks when you can video chat.  Our outings for the day were not glamourous, (cell phone service and grocery store) but they were necessary.  We were fortunate that both errands could be taken care of at the same MRT stop.  The first mission was for me to get a cell phone sim card.  After navigating the MRT and mega-mall to find the store, they were unable to help me because I did not have the correct paperwork.  To open cell phone accounts and bank accounts you need paperwork with employment numbers.   I must admit that it has been difficult without a cell phone.  I have come to rely on it so much at home that now I feel almost unsafe without one.  On the other hand, I also feel a sense of freedom without it.  No receiving phone calls, checking voice mails, or texting!  Our day ended on a great note.  At our serviced apartments, you can reserve a cabana by the pool that has a bbq, sink, and table underneath.  They provide all the plates, bowls, and utensils.  You just bring your food down, grill it up, eat in a lovely environment, and THEY CLEAN it all up.  This is a dream come true!
